I just finished reading "And the Devil Shivered" (Kindle version) and I really enjoyed it! It feels like you're reading messages from a friend. One whom you're just getting to know at the beginning and, by the end, one you wish you could hang out with for a while. Dustin pulls back the curtain and lets you take an honest look at his real, day-to-day life. If you're expecting a lot of behind-the-scenes stories about "that ole ghost show" he's on, this isn't that book. Yes, it is a topic of conversation sometimes (how could it not be?), but that's not the crux of this book, as I pleasantly discovered; it's much more than that. Dustin is a man who is driven by the love for his family and his faith. The book has a lot of humor, a lot of heart, and quite a few nuggets of inspiration, if you keep your eyes open for them.The only minor negative criticism I would have has nothing to do with the content of the book. I don't know if it's because I have the Kindle version, but there were quite a few typos and other errors that would pull me out of the narrative when I came across them (I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice them, they're so minor). However, pretty much every Kindle book I've read seems to have this issue, so I have to wonder if something is happening during the conversion process.
Bottom line: Read this book! I haven't read "What's Next" by Dustin yet, but I so enjoyed this book, I'll be buying that one next.

I fell in Love with Dustin's book already within the first few pages. I think I have never laughed that much reading a book as much as I did with this book, and at the same time I also cried because of his kindness, happiness, the way he treats people and the special Love he has for his wife and more important for his loving little daughter "Beans". I love the special bond these two share. This book is a very special gift of Dustin to let us join his life for this year and let us be part of it every single day. It is amazing what he has accomplished in his life and how he juggles everything in his life. How a human can function often with only a few hours sleep or sometimes even no sleep. I had the pleasure to meet Dustin ones at the ParaCon in Mahomen in 2015, he is down to Earth, funny, kind and one of the Best people I have ever met. This book gave me so much more insight of his life and the person he really is. I love his humor, his funny "dirty" little jokes, his emotional moments, everything about him in this book. From the Jolly good times to the passengers like the Admiral. Can't wait for the next book!!! You Rock Dustin. Much Love, Steffi
This is the first book i have read by Dustin Pari, but it certainly will not be the last. In Fact i loved this book so much that i decided to backtrack and get "What's Next" before reading "Kaleidoscope", his latest creation. When i first bought this book, i admit i thought there was going to be a lot of ghost stories. This is not the case.Yes, there are some but this book is more about who Dustin Pari IS. The man behind the scenes. It is creatively written, witty, honest and charming. Most people find it difficult to pour their heart out, but Dustin pretty much does just that and gives you insight and motivation to do the things that make you happy and not fear the changes that sometimes need to be made.He gives every day examples from his own life, which made me laugh "out loud" at times and cry a bit as well. But mostly, I enjoyed getting to know the man, the husband and the father. Ghost Hunters will always live on in my memories, but this side of Dustin brings new meaning to Spirit. Well done mate !
Fun reading about Mr. Pari's life that's longer than 140 characters. It's a fun read about what's important in his life, his faith, his daughter and his wife and the sacrifices they all make to have a roof over their heads, food in their belly.
Don't expect a book about his experiences with Ghost Hunters or Ghost Hunters International as this is about him and his faith. His desire to leave the world a better place for all of us. There are some mentions of his paranormal lectures and small about about him coming back to Ghost Hunter's. If you enjoy following him on Twitter you'll enjoy the book.
Dustin Pari loves God, Bean, Momma Bean, music, pie and pizza and brightening the world he and we live in.
I have read a lot of books in my lifetime. As an avid reader, I take it seriously, and I have to say, this is by far and away the most prolific, genuine, enthralling, gripping, magnetic, human book I have ever read - ever. I would not lie, or post such a review on a public form if it was not something I wanted people to know. Dustin Pari takes a year and his life and it is not only coupled with hilarious quips, curves, and awesome song lyrics that fit right into little crevices just where they are perfect, but his truly raw, authentic, heartfelt, and undeniable entries over the course of this year of his life speak right to the soul - and will leave you not wanting to put the book down... completely and utterly, emotionally within his words and life, as if you are there. It is totally well worth every moment spent. Dustin is an amazing motivational man, his impact is well within the pages of this book, and flows effortlessly - what a great, awesome gem. 5 stars. - Jennifer Stephens
